Both programs tour regional, rural and remote areas of Australia, providing parents and carers of young children with an understanding of the importance of play in early development.

Young children have many qualities in common with scientists as they are constantly engaging with and making sense of the physical world. Questacon Science Play aims to encourage this natural curiosity in young children through a range of hands-on activities on various science themes including light, sound, liquids and living things. Trained science communicators facilitate the play sessions and encourage parents and other care-givers to share the journey of discovery with their children.
