What you need

• lunchbox
• rubber bands

What you do

Remove the lid from a lunchbox, then stretch a few rubber bands, ideally of different lengths, around the box. Get your child to pluck the rubber bands to make different sounds, depending on the tightness of the rubber band.

What to ask

• Which rubber band makes the highest or lowest sound?
• Is it tight or loose?
